Curbside Chaos Yard Makeover Winner

September 24, 2012

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Check out what Curbside Chaos did for yard makeover winner Taniya Nayak! So jealous.

If I won a $5,000 yard makeover I'd have a lot in my idea basket. First, I'd love to make more playable space for my kids. Our yard unfortunately has a lot of weeds on a slope. I'd dig up all those weeds and relace with sod. Plus, I'd love to make a natural fence around our property. I love picket fencing as well but they are so expensive! Chain link fencing would do the trick but I don't like the look. Natural fencing like bushes and shrubs are so perfect. They provide privacy and safety for the kids while still giving a feeling of being outdoors in nature. For some great ideas visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more

I'd also fill my sad, sad weed ridden flower bed with beautiful bulbs. If you also would like to try planting bulbs this year now is the time to do it! I feel like bulbs are the slow cooker recipies of the garden world. Plant them, then forget about them until they're ready to bloom in spring.

Check out Curbside Chaos for their Garden Guru tool located in the bottom left of the screen. This tool will help you figure out which bulb is perfect for your home depending upon where you live!

Step 1 – Pick your Country
Step 2 – Pick your location within that Country

Step 3 – Choose the type of bulb you want to grow

Step 4 – Check out the Planting Guide that shows you how to plant your bulbs.

Check out my results below! I like alliums.

And bulbs aren’t just for gardeners! Bulbs are extremely simple plants that can be used in a surprising number of ways. How do you use bulbs in your life? Bulbs can be used in anything from interior and exterior design, to creative gift giving and decoration, to entertaining activities for children and families.

For some great ideas visit http://www.digdropdone.com/abo… You'll be presented with three women. Choose the one that you relate to the most. My girl is Marcy. She gardens when she have time and knows a little about bulbs, but is hardly an expert. Between the kids, the house, the dog and a part-time job, her life is pretty crazy. To her, bulbs are probably the easiest way to bring some beauty to her life.

And if you want to help a good cause, "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done" will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together the nation’s leading nonprofit, working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities for every share on Twitter with the hashtag #CurbsideChaos.
