Tutorials 46: Chevron Rug

July 11, 2011

I really liked the colors and rug in the photo at bottom. But when I looked for a wide patterned chevron rug for fairly little money I came up short. But I might try this technique below from Tatertots and Jello.
She even has a great suggestion as to how to deal with the 'crunchiness' factor;)

That wall color is exactly what I want in my bathroom! A blue-green that is both serene and fun, spa-like and vintage. Any ideas on what it is?

@elaina
I believe it is Valspar Aqua Glow on the walls, and the ceiling is a lighter shade of the same color, Valspar Grand Hotel Mackinac Blue.

This rug really looks very interesting. The color the contrast, everything about it looks just perfect.

That's pretty close to a perfect room for me.

I'm off to see the tutorial.

This is amazing! Thank you for sharing. I never thought to paint my own chevron rug. I think I'm going to make one this weekend!

This is a lovely pattern and a great idea. Though I must say, sometimes it can be difficult stencilling like this. I roller might be better. I suppose you just have to be EXTRA gentle! thanks for sharing!
