Tire Ottoman, You HAVE to see this!

September 4, 2012

Tire covered in rope. How easy is that? Looks like something from Pier 1 or Pottery Barn. Get the how-to at Apartment Therapy! She uses super glue but I think hot glue would be cheaper and easier.

She actually tried hot glue, and it melted the tire, IIRC. A friend of mine pinned this one, so I've seen it before!

@BratlingI bet if you put it on a low setting it would be okay. My glue gun's low setting is cool enough to not burn my skin when I touch it. I can't imagine a setting that low would melt rubber and not skin.

@Kathleen FrancesThen again I could see it not sticking well to the tire if it were that cool. It's just super glue can be expensive especially if you're using that much of it. I wonder if something else would work like liquid nails or some other caulking gun glue.

I can think of five or six other adhesives that might work....
