? I wonder if it's some shiny fabric sewn (in strips, maybe) on a base fabric. If you find out, I'd love to know, as well.
Oh my I love this!! Would love to know too!
ohhh...let me know when you find out! Gorgeous
It looks like foil confetti! I love it.
I've seen this on pinterest...it looks like a chunky dangle sequins or something. I've been sourcing sequin fabrics with no luck. Please share if you find something!
http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/103005Encrusted with folded gold and dark-purple sequins, Adam's black silk-organza.It looks like the sequins are quite tight and each one is folded.
Apparently it's "folded sequins", whatever that means!http://www.net-a-porter.com/am/product/103005?cm_mmc=LinkshareUS-_-ProductFeed-_-Adam-_-Dresses&siteID=J84DHJLQkR4-Dq1aYmBJp3JDcOHlTjIU_Q
They look like big plastic gem stones with silver on the back, plastic I hope as glass would be so heavy. Try making a scarf first from those plastic gems that people use for jewellery making. I am sure you could get a big bag for cheap. Good luck, I loved to see what you come up with. axx
Just saw this....http://dillydallas.blogspot.com/2011/02/i-dont-have-baby.htmlany good? ax
i have no experience with this at ALL...but i think you sew a strip of sequins or sequin trim on in a sort of long zig-zag pattern till the whole thing is covered
I see a lot of this when i shop in the fabric district in LA, but it's always UBER expensive. Save ALL your pennies. Go to the fabric district, and pick up some! I once made myself a little bolero out of it (because it was all i could afford) but it looked fantastic! It's really hard to sew at times! But that dress is beautiful, and now I really want one!
