How does this happen? I don't know. I changed my passwords. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It's so embarrassing. Please forgive me.

I haven't had my e-mail hijacked like that, but I've received them from people it's happened to. I've also seen blog comments over-run with spam. Sorry it happened to you!
One thought that occurred to me - you know when you're reading an article, and there's an "e-mail to friend" button, and you put in your friend's address and your own? I wonder if they have a form that lets them appear to be sending from your address without actually having your personal info?
oh no that's bad! I'm getting a bit sick of fifty million men from different nationalities telling me I've won $1m and to email them my personal details and keep it quiet! ugh so much spam lately

I haven't had this happen but I imagine if I had spam from bloggers I would distrust that it actually came from them as it does not seem the sort of thing crafters would do.
I haven't had that happen to be before but I did get the email from you! I knew it was spam the second I saw the subject line :)
