Grosgrain Flickr Favs

November 14, 2009

Too many wonderful things to post in the flickr pool.

Your photography always amazes me. I love to put a good photograph on the front page and the pale tones in this one by kraftykym were so pretty.

One of her friend's bought this beautiful dress for her daughter. Since they live in Minnesota and it is November, she needed a little cardigan to pair with the dress. So together they found some lovely ribbons and trimmings. Then, she crafted up the flowers for the sweater.

Said Kym, "I love it so much, makes me wish I was nine years old again."

I also really thought hexchen-marie's Hortensia& Rudbeckia Pattern was so interesting.

I liked the scalloped edges of the dress top and skirt as well as the quilted material used in the second and third photo. It made the outfit look ready for winter yet still dressy.

I imagined wearing this on a sleigh ride:)

And how could I not
include this great photo by Figgys Kids?

You can buy it in her shop now. The fabric, pattern and colors are just fabulous!

The same day, Shelly of Figgy's Kids bought this fabric she came home washed it and immediately began to sew. She knew instantly that this was to made into a beautiful coat for a beautiful child.

It is made with double gauze Japanese Echino fabric lined in gorgeous shot cotton. The rolled sleeve allows this jacket to grow with your child for a long wear.
