I sewed this little costume for Lily's second Halloween so it is not a giveaway. I have all these pictures of her in it. There's one of her in the living room, one of her on the sidewalk, one of her in the wagon....and in all of them she is crying. Except for the wagon photo....where she is sleeping. I never got a chance to get a good photo of her on that special day but at least through this blog, I found a chance to get some funny ones of Molly enjoying the suit.
The body of the costume is made of soft warm fleece and stuffed with TONS and TONS of poly-fil. Perhaps too much. Holding becomes problematic. The hat is knitted. I originally made one for lily and molly. Sometimes when I'm feeling really bedeviled we will go out to a public place and I put them on at the same time. I think in a year Lily might start asserting her independence about the issue.
If anyone would like a tutorial on how to knit the hat please let me know. If enough people were interested I'd be happy to write a tutorial.

I would love to know how to knit that hat. I got the cutest cherry hat from gymboree a year or so ago and would love to add a strawberry one to my girls wardrobe. Now I just need to learn to knit :)
I would give anything to knit like you-unfortunately, I can only knit perfect holes- LOL. Your work is stunning and I watch your blog with amazement every day!Thank you for your creativity.

I love to know how you did the hat! I don't have kids yet, but I'm using you as an inspiration to one day make my kids clothes. I think it's just more rewarding that way. I would so wear the hat myself. :)
