Pool Noodle Wreath Form {Just 1 Buck Baby!}

September 23, 2012

Hey! Here's another way to make a wreath form! Use a pool noodle! Duh! Now, I guess you can't buy them in the winter but if you have a pool (even a cheap Intex one) I'm sure you have a few lying around like we do. If you wanted to make an even larger wreath you can just duct tape them together or even do only one and a half noodles instead of two (two might be way to big). Gail Made (photo below) shows you how to do this with pipe insulation which is basically the same thing. She also shows you how to avoid kinks. Best of all pool noodles are super cheap!

I use pool noodles all the time as wreath forms! They're great!

To keep mine from kinking, I just put a short length of stiff plastic tubing or approx. 5 inch wooden dowel into on end and then hot-glue the ends together, let dry, and duct tape to cover it up.

How do you join the ends? So they do not come apart? I placed a short piece od piping then ducked taped together! When I got home from work the tape had loosened? Any advise is appreciated! Such great cost if I can get to work thank you

@AnonymousTry wrapping the duct tape around the pool noodle about 6 inches from the break in either direction....so 12" total. Start 6" on the right and keep wrapping the duct tape until you are a foot away from where you started. Also try putting several pins in the duct tape.

Let me know if that doesn't work.
